Mothers Day Skype and Baptisms! (Week 27)

Hola Familia!

Well the highlight of my week was definitely talking to you all! Seeing your radiant faces and hearing your voices! Thank you all for being soooooooo wonderful!

A special birthday shout out to Aunt Marianne and cousin Brad! I wish you the best and hope all your birthday wishes come true!

There were two baptisms in our area! Jose (father) and Axel (son) were baptized and confirmed. Both shared their testimonies at the baptism. The spirit was really strong. During the baptismal service I could not stop smiling. It is amazing how the gospel can change one's life and how happy it makes me to know I was a part of helping someone be so happy. I am excited to help these individuals continue to progress and learn more about the gospel. Also, we are teaching the two brothers of Axel-Lucas and Hernan. Their mother is a member of the Jehovah Witness church. She always participates in the lessons, but says that she is not going to change. We are praying and praying that she will accept the gospel so that their family can be sealed for time and eternity in the temple.

We are also working with Fernando. He is progressing a lot. We talked about the word of wisdom and the law of chastity this week. It is awesome. The only problen he had was with coffee. But he said this week he has not drank any even though the opportunity has presented itself many times! Also, when we talked about the law of chastity he was already living it. He said in his head that's how it is and should be.

We are also working with Ricardo. He is ten years old. He is progressing and has a lot of knowledge already about the gospel because his mom is a member. They did not come to church yesterday so he can't be baptized on the 30 of May, so he can be baptized in June. The situation with his parents is still complicated, but it is getting worked out..slowly.

Have a fantastic week! Challange of the week: share your favorite scripture with someone! It can be a friend, family member, acquaintance, doesn't matter!

Con mucho amor,
Hermana Burr

Jose and Axel Baptism!
(When we first talked to jose he said he was never going to come to church and look at him now! Miracles of the Lord's gospel!)
