I hope dad had a wonderful birthday and that all of his birthday wishes came true! Dad you are literally the best dad in todo el mundo- in all the world!!! i want to wish Grandpa Burr a happy birthday this week! I hope your day is filled with fun, family, and birthday pie :)
This week Fernando made his firm decision that he is going to be baptized. He told us that he made his decision about a week ago--Hermana Passos and I were wondering why he didn't tell us sooner, when we were asking, but oh well. He also told us that he had a dream and in his dream someone was telling him that he should not be baptized. We talked it through with him and helped him understand that Satan is going to work as hard as he can to get us to change our good, correct decisions. He told us that he is going to stay firm in his decision to be baptized! Fernando had his baptismal interview and he passed! So all is well for his baptism this weekend (30 de Mayo), I am really excited for him :)
This past week Mirian, the mother of Lucila and Franco-recent converts- decided that she wants to be baptized! What a miracle! She has been in all of the lecciones and has attendance in church and she wants to be baptize el 30 de Mayo. WE are going to see if she is prepared and have her interview and work towards that goal.
During my studies this week I found a scripture I really liked-- Helaman 15:7-8! It talks about faith!
Helaman 15
7 And behold, ye do know of yourselves, for ye have witnessed it, that as many of them as are brought to the knowledge of the truth, and to konw of the wicked and abominable traditions of their fathers, and are led to believe the holy scriptures, yea, the prophecies of the holy prophets, which are written , which leadeth them to faith on the Lord, and unto repentance, which faith and repentance bringeth a change of heart unto them-
8 Therefore, as many as have come to this, ye know of yourselves are firm and steadfast in the faith and in the thing wherewith they have been made free.
